Here are some of the photos I took at the tennis match this past Friday!

This Labor Day weekend I’m off campus! I drove a good four hours today to go down and visit my dad in Maryland. It was nice because my brother also came down with his girlfriend. We decided to go out to eat at this Turkish, Mediterranean restaurant that was actually very pretty inside. The entrees varied anything from pitas to lamb (Ew!) so I ordered a quinoa mix. It was red quinoa with eggs, peppers, spices, etc. It was very delicious! Such an exciting weekend! Tomorrow (Sunday) we are going down to D. C. Where I will finally get to see the art museum and the new portrait photography exhibit in a museum down there! Sadly,—and it is almost inhumane or tragic— I forgot to grab my camera as I was walking out the door at my apartment. I couldn’t smack myself enough for forgetting my camera. What’s a photographer without her camera?! Anyways, I will have to resort to maybe using a disposable camera or my phone. I’m looking forward tomorrow. There will be more posts to come!

So far everything has been going very well. All the students had our first week of classes this week and it was rough but I think I’ve got a good set-up this year.
I really am enjoying my living status at the woodlands apartments! It’s really nice to have our own kitchen to use and our own bathroom for just christy and I.
Before the upperclassman came, the freshman moved in. And of course, all of us sports teams helped with it all. Sadly one of the photographers got me at a bad time, and I do not look too good. Overall though it was a fun experience and I met a lot of cool freshman.
In other news, the skies have been gorgeous at night. Every day it seems the sunset has been getting more and more vibrant!
My friends and I also went out to support the men’s soccer at their game Friday night. It was super exciting and crazy! A lot of people came out to support the team as they fought for our victory.

Here’s a list of all of the activities that are coming up soon for all students! Definitely looking forward the mic nights, bingo nights, and most importantly that beach trip! Maybe this year I’ll try to go!

Just moved in this past Monday and it feels so good to be back! I can’t wait until another week for when I am able to see all my friends. In the meantime I’ve been playing tennis with the tennis team, with practice two times a day. This year I am staying in the woodlands apartments! I am in a nine person apartment, so it could be a little crazy sometimes but I think everything will go well. More posts to come soon! Freshman move in Friday! Welcome all freshman!

Just a little quote for today!

Just a little quote for today!

Congratulations to my old high school friend and her boyfriend who created the cutest baby alive! Such an adorable baby!

Wow! I cannot believe that the summer is almost gone! It has been about 63 days since I left Marywood to come home for the summer, and now we are approaching my sophomore year at MU. So much has happened since I left! Starting from the beginning, a couple weeks after coming home my mother, boyfriend, and I went down to North Carolina’s outer-banks to soak up the sun for a week. When we came back from our long and crazy 8 hour drive, I brought up the motivation and strength to sign up for a gym and a personal trainer. It has been about a month and a half since that huge leap of faith, and I have seen results! I am down about 10-15 lbs of fat, however, my muscle-skeletal has all increased by 4%. Throughout all of this, I began cooking and learning my own recipes through vegan, gluten free, and dairy free baking. With the occasional flat and burnt looking foods I have made, I have also created the most genius concoctions— some of which I will never forget the recipes for! I have also finished my 5 week class of spanish, completing my first language requirement for the liberal arts. One Spanish class down, one to go! Next on the list is to complete my drawing class that starts next week and runs another 5 weeks. More exciting things I have done are as simple as going to job interviews, going to the movies with friends, helping a friend at a church picnic, doing face painting, visiting grandparents, seeing my brother, tragically dealing with a health situation that abruptly came about, visiting MU to find results on my psychological testings for ADHD/anxiety, planning what my side of the room will look like when I move into MU’s woodlands apartments, filling out paperwork to be on the tennis team for Marywood (WOO! GO PACERS!), planned move in on the 17th of august, started three new Netflix series, playing Words With Friends until I pass out, and consciously and subconsciously dreaming about being back at Marywood in the fall.

With more to come in the last couple weeks of summer, yours truly,

Meaghan
